Port Blair, Dec. 9: The Nicobar District Police is committed to curb the menace of illicit distillation of liquor and smuggling of IMFLs in tribal reserved islands and to prove their commitment sharp vigil is being maintained at all entry points to these islands and intelligence is being developed to check smuggling.

Port Blair, Dec. 9: The Police training school, Prothrapur A & N Police organized 01(one) day course on “Management of Beat System” on 08/12/2020 for in-service police personnel of A & N Police from the rank of Constable to Sub-Inspector. The objective of the course is to enhance the knowledge and skills of the Police personnel related to management of beat system. During the session, Inspector Ranga Raj, CDI, PTS, Prothrapur, Shri. T.Sebastin, Rtd. DySp and SI Abdul Manaf of PTS, Prothrapur delivered  lectures on Beat system and its functioning, Do’s & Don’t of Beat Officer in Beat System and implementation of Community Policing through effective beat patrolling and importance of Police-Public relation in beat system.

Port Blair, Dec. 9: A special counseling session will be held on 10th December 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair for those Nicobari tribal candidates who have applied for admission to B.A.B.Ed. and B.Sc.B.Ed. in Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair but could not take admission earlier due to various reasons including Covid restrictions. All those Nicobari tribal candidates who have applied for admission to various courses but could not take admission earlier are requested to attend the counseling scheduled as above failing which these vacant seats will be allotted to other eligible candidates available during the counseling.

Warns Establishments to Avoid Malpractices and Irregularities

Port Blair, Dec. 8: Continuing its drive to inspect Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010 registered under the District Registering Authority (SA), a team of officials conducted inspections at few more medical and clinical establishments operating in South Andaman District.

The team constituted in this connection made checks at all the establishments and actions against the findings and shortcomings will be initiated in due course. Further inspections on all such establishments functioning in South Andaman will be carried out in the coming days.

The District Registering Authority has warned the establishments to avoid malpractices and if any irregularities are found the same will be dealt with sternly. The General Public is requested to come forward and report any such over 1077/240127.
