Port Blair, Oct. 18: A delegation of Andaman Association of Tour Operators led by its President Shri. M.Vinod, General Secretary, Shri. K.Hamza and Organising Secretary Shri. P.S.Vijayan met Home Minster, Amit Shah at Raj Niwas on 17 October 21. The delegation appraised the minister about the developments in the tourism industry and the challenges being faced by the tourism operators in these islands.

Suggests Chief Secretary to Dispatch Essential Commodities for Great Nicobar
Port Blair, Oct. 18: The Member of Parliament, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to withdraw the seven-day quarantine rule in Great Nicobar Island for the convenience of the public. He also requested to schedule a passenger ship with cargo or a cargo ship for Great Nicobar Island as soon as possible so that all essential commodities reach the Islands within few days.

Port Blair, Oct. 18: A delegation under the leadership of Shri Rangalal Halder, President, Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee and consisting of Shri M Vasudevan, Ex-Zilla Parishad Member and Shri K Kannan, General Secretary, Block Congress Committee, Little Andaman met with Shri Suneel Anchipakka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District in his office. The delegation demanded issuing of Smart Cards and Aadhaar Cards in Little Andaman apart from deputing an official team to Little Andaman exclusively for land registration purposes in the island itself.
