Port Blair, Aug 7: Ministry of Health & Family Welfare is committed toward provide 100% full immunization and reduce the Vaccine Preventable Disease across the County. In view of this, Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 was launched in these Islands with rest of the country aiming to enhance immunization coverage for all vaccines specified under the National Immunization schedule for children below 5 years and pregnant mothers especially Measles & Rubella vaccine for children up to 5 years of age. The ultimate objective is to eliminate Measles & Rubella by the year 2023.

Port Blair, Aug. 07:  Kala Kendra – A society under Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration will be organizing ‘Kavyanjali’ – a poetic tribute to our Freedom Fighters as part of Independence Day celebrations at National Memorial Cellular Jail at 430 p.m on Aug.12, 2023. In this regard, senior and budding poets, both are bing invited to present their poetry on patriotic theme. Port Blair, Aug. 07: As part of Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign envisaged as the culminating event of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Kala Kendra – A society under Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration will be organizing Meri Maati Mera Desh – A celebration of Freedom through Patriotic Dance and patriotic Songs competition on 19th & 20th August 2023 respectively. For patriotic dance competition only groups will be allowed with minimum 8 artists whereas patriotic songs will be conducted in two categories solo and group songs. Patriotic Songs should be presented with live Indian and western musical instruments. Both Film & Non-Film based Songs and Dances will be allowed.

Port Blair, Aug 7: A mental and physical fitness class, martial arts, laughter yoga and meditation training for Divyangjan was inaugurated by resident Nodal Officer, CRC Brookshabad on 2nd August 2023. The course is being attended by the family members of Divyangjan, CRC A&N Staffs and Resident Nodal officer CRC. Interested Divyangjan can join this course for their well-being which will be held weekly once a day (Wednesday) morning 9.30 am to 10.20 am for free of cost.
