Port Blair, March 5: The vessel MV Bharat Seema will sail for Car Nicobar on March 6, 2023 at 1500 hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail back to Port Blair on March 7, 2023 at 1200 hrs from Car Nicobar. Passenger tickets for the above sailings will be issued to the general public on March 6 from 0900 hrs onwards at STARS Ticketing Counters on first come first serve basis.

ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman & INTUC President, Shri. TSG Bhasker has condoled the sad demise of Shri. S. P. Tarua, A.E, APWD who passed away due to massive heart attack. Late. Shri. S.P Tarua was posted in Mayabunder Division and he was at the fag end of his career with APWD. Bhasker conveyed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved members of his family to bear this irreparable loss.

Port Blair, March 3: Security Personnels have been deployed in the G.B. Pant Hospital complex, thus fulfilling the demand of the general public. In order to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the G.B. Pant Hospital, necessary steps have been taken and the general public is requested to kindly co-operate with the authorities of G.B Pant Hospital to assist in maintaining the in-patient visiting hours as follows:-

Port Blair, March 3: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to establish a trauma center at GB Pant Hospital as a matter of priority.

In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor, the Member of Parliament said that there is a pressing need for a trauma center at the GB Pant Hospital in Port Blair.

Diglipur, March 3: The Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman, Shri Ankit Yadav IAS, visited Diglipur region. He was accompanied by Shri Anuj Kumar Bharti, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur, Shri M. Rajendra Kumar, Block Development Officer, Diglipur, and Revenue Department officials and inspected the progress of various projects.

Soon after arrival, the Deputy Commissioner held a meeting with the HoDs and PRIs at the APWD guest house Conference hall during which Deputy Commissioner enquired about the issues and challenges faced by the local inhabitants. Sector-wise issues pertaining to the road, electricity, water, school, health, tourism, forests & revenue matters were highlighted by the public representatives. Upon this, the Deputy Commissioner assured that genuine grievances which require immediate redressal will be looked into and the concerned officials were directed to ensure their speedy redressal for the convenience of the people.
