Sri Vijaya Puram, May 16: The members of the Kannada Sangha, Sri Vijaya Puram assembled at the Kannada Sangha premises on 15.05.2025 to pay their tribute to the martyred soldiers of the India-Pak Conflict, victims of Pahalgam attack, departed members of the Sangha and to bid farewell to fellow member Shri S.A. Tippeswamy, AIR official.
The program commenced with observation of a two-minute silence as a mark of tribute to the great sacrifices made by the martyred soldiers of the India-Pak conflict, victims of the Pahalgam attack, contributions made by the departed members of the Sangha. This was followed by singing of patriotic song to pledge solidarity with the soldiers protecting our country. Speaking on the occasion the President Shri Naveen Chandra spoke of the selfless services rendered by our defence forces and thanked the defence members of the sangha for their service to the nation.
This was followed by bidding of farewell to the fellow member Shri S.A. Tippeswamy, AIR official, who has very actively contributed his services to the Andaman Islands and to Kannada Sangha. He has played an active role in bringing Kannadiga’s from all walks of life in Andaman to the Sangha and making them feel at home, even when being far away from home. All the members of the Sangha presented a standing ovation to Smt & Shri S.A. Tippeswamy for all their contributions. The Sangha presented him with a souvenir from the sangha.
The programme was anchored by the Shri Mahadeva, Cultural Secretary and press briefing by Shri Nelson Almeida, the spokesperson of the Sangha.
