Sri Vijaya Puram, May 18: Shri M. Vinod, President of AATO, is participating in a Familiarisation (FAM) Tour to Sri Lanka from 14th May to 20th May 2025, organised by Sri Lanka Tourism & Association of Buddhist Tour Operators.
The FAM trip was aimed at fostering cross-border tourism collaboration and providing Indian tourism leaders with first-hand experience of Sri Lanka’s diverse tourism offerings, infrastructure, and hospitality sector. The visit included curated experiences across major destinations, cultural landmarks, and tourism initiatives within Sri Lanka.
Shri Vinod expressed his gratitude to ABTO for the nomination and opportunity to represent the Andaman tourism fraternity during this international engagement. He also thanked Sri Lanka Tourism for their warm hospitality and well-structured itinerary, which showcased the potential for collaborative tourism between island destinations.
Such initiatives are expected to strengthen regional tourism partnerships, encourage bilateral travel, and promote exchange of best practices for sustainable tourism development.
