Sri Vijaya Puram, July 16: Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, has requested the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, to reopen the online application portal and extend the last date for submission of applications for the Combined Matric Level Recruitment Examination, 2026 and the Combined Higher Secondary Level Recruitment Examination, 2026 by at least one week.
The MP stated that he has received numerous complaints and representations from aspiring candidates across the Islands regarding persistent technical glitches in the official recruitment portal. According to the candidates, the portal remained inaccessible or malfunctioned repeatedly while uploading applications and supporting documents, despite several attempts and the availability of good internet connectivity.
Shri Bishnu Pada Ray further pointed out that other online services of the Administration, including the college admission portal and citizen services such as issuance of EWS Certificates, have been functioning normally, whereas the recruitment portal alone has been facing technical issues. As a result, many eligible candidates have been deprived of submitting their applications within the stipulated time.
The MP also informed that several affected candidates have already submitted individual representations to the Administration requesting suitable relief. Considering the genuine hardships faced by the aspirants, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray has urged the Administration to reopen the recruitment portal after restoring its normal functioning and extend the last date for submission of online applications by at least one week. He stated that such a decision would ensure fairness, equal opportunity, and transparency in the recruitment process and safeguard the interests of the youth of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
