Sri Vijaya Puram, June 19: All NFSA beneficiaries possessing AAY & PHH ration cards have been informed that despite repeated requests to get their e-KYC updated with Aadhaar for all members registered in the ration card, many beneficiaries have failed to comply with the direction. The Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (CS&CA) has made extensive efforts to ensure e-KYC compliance by conducting 260 door-to-door campaigns in remote areas, launching 19 awareness drives through print and electronic media, disseminating information via Fair Price Shops, reaching out directly to beneficiaries through phone calls, and introducing the ‘Mera KYC’ mobile application, which supports Aadhaar-based authentication using biometric, iris, and facial recognition.
In spite of these extensive measures, a considerable number of AAY and PHH beneficiaries have still not approached their Fair Price Shops, Directorate of CS&CA and Supply Units (CS&CA) to complete their e-KYC.
As a last opportunity, and as directed by the Government of India, all left-out NFSA beneficiaries must get their e-KYC updated latest by 30.06.2025.
Failure to update e-KYC by this date will result in suspension of the ration card with effect from 01.07.2025, and such beneficiaries will be ineligible to receive benefits under the NFSA Act.
All left out beneficiaries have been requested to visit their nearest Fair Price Shop along with Aadhaar numbers of all members listed on their ration card for completing the e-KYC process. They may also approach the Directorate of CS&CA, Room No. 20, Sri Vijaya Puram and their respective Supply Units.
The list of left-out beneficiaries has also been made available at Fair Price Shops for reference.
It has come to notice that many child members between the ages of 5 to 17 years are unable to complete e-KYC as their Aadhaar was generated before the age of 5. Such beneficiaries have been advised to update their Aadhaar immediately at the nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre. They may also approach the Directorate of CS&CA for Aadhaar updation.
