Sri Vijaya Puram, May 21: The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) is a prestigious national award conferred by the Government of India to recognize exceptional achievements of children in various fields. This award has been started with the aim of honouring talented children; the award is given under six categories: Bravery, Social Service, Environment, Sports, Art & Culture, and Science & Technology. Children below the age of 18 years (as of 31st July 2026) who have demonstrated excellence and outstanding contributions in these fields are eligible to be nominated.
In this regard, the nominations/recommendations for PMRBP will be received only online through the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal (https://awards.gov.in) designed for this purpose. The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is given by the Hon’ble President of India in Darbar Hall, Rashtrapati Bhavan one-week preceding Republic Day every year. The Hon’ble Prime Minister also felicitates the awardees. The Awardees of Bal Shakti Puraskar also take part in the parade of Republic Day on 26th of January at Rajpath, New Delhi.
The portal for online nominations for PMRBP is now open and last date for nomination is 31st July, 2026. Application forms submitted through any other mode will not be considered for the award.
