Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 3: In a swift and coordinated inter-state operation, Police Station Pahargaon successfully traced and rescued a 17-year-old missing minor girl from West Bengal.
On 20th November 2025, a missing complaint of a 17 years old minor girl was reported at PS Pahargaon. Upon receipt of the complaint, a kidnapping case was registered and an intensive search operation was immediately started. Through meticulous technical analysis and mobile tracking, the real-time movement of the minor was traced at West Bengal. Further, sustained monitoring and seamless information exchange with West Bengal Police narrowed down her location to the Goalpokhar–Panjipara area of Uttar Dinajpur District.
Acting on the precise inputs shared by PS Pahargaon, the OP Panjipara Police successfully rescued the minor girl on 24th November 2025. She was subsequently produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Uttar Dinajpur and placed in a Girls Shelter Home for protection and care.
On 26th November 2025, to ensure safe repatriation of the minor girl, a team from PS Pahargaon, consisting of SI R. Nirmala (Investigating Officer), SI A. Santhosh and PC Dipankar Mondal was deputed to West Bengal. The rescued minor was safely brought back to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 30th November 2025 and produced before the Child Welfare Committee, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The entire operation was conducted under the leadership of Insp. Mohd. Elias, SHO PS Pahargaon under the command of Shri. Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, SDPO (South Andaman) and the overall supervision of Shri. Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
The South Andaman Police reaffirm its commitment towards safeguarding children and urges the public to report any suspicious or illegal activities immediately to the Police Control Room at 112 or 03192-232100 / 03192-236641, assuring that the identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
