Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 22: The Department of Agriculture, Rangat in association with UTATMA organized one day Training programme on Spices Pravah – ‘Production & Value Addition of Spices’ at Community Hall, Adazig, Sundergarh Panchayat, Baratang today. Dr. Anees K, Principal Scientist, IISR, Kozhikode explained in details about the various spices of A&N Islands, its production & value addition, methods & techniques. Later on, along with farmers visited Spices Demonstration Farm, Adazig and highlighted the package of practices followed for spices cultivation.
Shri. Vijay Mondal, Up Pramukh, Rangat, Smti.Taramani Minj, Up Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Sundergarh, Shri. Jayanth Ram, JAA Extension Circle Baratang and Shri. K Lokanadhan, ATM, ATMA, Rangat and 25 farmers attended the programme.
