Rangat, May 21: Acting on credible information regarding the illegal manufacturing of illicit liquor in the dense forest area of Shaktigarh, a team of PS Rangat conducted a search operation on 21.05.2026.
During the operation, a substantial quantity of illicit liquor was recovered from the possession of an accused person, a resident of Shaktigarh. Further search of the nearby forest area led to the recovery of around 120 litres of Lehan along with brewing materials concealed in a hut, which were destroyed on the spot as per due procedure. In this connection, a case under the Excise Regulation has been registered at PS Rangat.
The operation reflects the zero-tolerance policy and continued commitment of N&MA Police towards curbing illegal activities and maintaining law and order in the region.
