Rani Fatima Felicitates Nancowrie Zone Tribal Students for their Outstanding Achievements at XXIV State School Games 2025

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 3: Students from the Nancowry Zone, representing the remote Nicobar group of islands of Chowra, Teressa, Katchal, Kamorta, and Nancowry, showcased exceptional talent and determination at the XXIV State School Games 2025, bringing pride and honour to their communities with a remarkable collection of medals. To celebrate their outstanding performance, Rani Fatima of Nancowry, along with Prince Rashid, hosted a heartfelt felicitation ceremony at Rani House, Sri Vijaya Puram. Winner Tribal students and teachers from the Central Nicobar region were presented with mementoes and certificates in recognition of their dedication, discipline, and perseverance.

The Rani family expressed deep appreciation for the tireless efforts of Physical Education Teachers, Headmasters, Assistant Sport Supervisors, and the Department of Education for nurturing sports talent from the remotest islands. Special gratitude was also extended to the Andaman & Nicobar Administration for organising the State School Games and creating a platform for tribal youth to shine in sports. Prince Rashid applauded the determination of the students, who overcame long journeys and challenging circumstances to compete at the state level. Rani Fatima shared her pride in their achievements and urged them to continue striving for excellence, reminding them that their success inspires generations across the Nicobar Islands.

The programme was graced by Rayhaan Pasha, who engaged with the young athletes and encouraged their sporting aspirations. During the ceremony, students requested that the development of sports infrastructure in the Nancowrie region including a multi-purpose stadium, playgrounds and a sports hostel be taken up with the Andaman & Nicobar Administration. This celebration not only recognised sporting excellence but also reinforced the spirit of perseverance, unity, and pride in Nicobar heritage, inspiring young athletes to dream bigger and aim higher.
