
Ferrargunj, Aug 24: Rotary Club NextGen Port Blair organized a meaningful service initiative on August 23, 2025, at the Abhyuday Complex, Ferrargunj, by distributing essential supplies to the residents of the Divyang Home and Old Age Home.
The event saw the distribution of adult and children’s diapers to meet the daily needs of the specially-abled children and elderly residents. In addition, a wall clock was presented to the complex as a small gesture to enhance the living environment.
The distribution was led by Rtn. Mandeep Grewal, President of Rotary Club NextGen Port Blair, along with Rtn. M. Vignesh, Secretary, and Rtn. Sonu George Eappen, Treasurer. The presence of the club’s leadership highlighted their deep commitment to community service and inclusivity.
Also in attendance were the caretaker of the complex and officers from the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), whose support added significance to the event. After the distribution, the Rotarians and guests spent quality time interacting with the Divyang children and elderly residents, sharing smiles, stories, and companionship.
