Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 30: In pursuance of the visit of the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, to G.B. Pant Hospital, ANIIMS, the sanitation, cleanliness and overall upkeep mechanisms of the hospital have been further strengthened to ensure a clean, hygienic and patient-friendly environment.
As part of the enhanced measures, the existing sanitation and hospital upkeep checklists have been upgraded and reinforced to ensure systematic monitoring of cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation and general maintenance across various areas of the hospital. The revised checklists provide for more comprehensive and structured monitoring of essential upkeep activities.
Further, the monitoring mechanism has been strengthened with daily monitoring and review of sanitation and hospital upkeep activities. Regular inspections are being undertaken to ensure compliance with the prescribed standards and to facilitate timely identification and rectification of any deficiencies.
The hospital’s existing patient feedback mechanism continues to provide an important channel for receiving feedback from patients and attendants regarding cleanliness, sanitation and hospital services. The feedback received is reviewed for necessary corrective action and further improvement in service delivery.
These measures are aimed at ensuring consistent cleanliness, improved hygiene standards, better hospital upkeep and enhanced patient safety and comfort.
