
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 23: The Sant Nirankari Mission, under the banner of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organized its 29th Blood Donation Camp on 22nd June 2025 (Sunday) at the Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair).
The camp was conducted in collaboration with G.B. Pant Hospital and the Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS). A total of 115 individuals registered for blood donation. Out of these, 53 donors successfully donated blood and the rest of the individuals were deferred due to medical reasons such as low haemoglobin, high blood pressure and other health-related parameters.
As a part of the awareness drive leading up to the camp, a Walk Rally was organized on 21st June 2025 (Saturday) by the Sant Nirankari Mandal. The rally aimed to create awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and inspire public participation in this noble cause.
The blood donation event was graced by Shri Prakash Adhikari, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he lauded the consistent humanitarian efforts of the Sant Nirankari Mission and highly appreciated the systematic and disciplined manner in which the entire camp was organized.
Dr. Kausheen Shail, Demonstrator, Dept. of Pathology, ANIIMS, addressed the gathering and spoke in detail about the merits and necessity of blood donation.
The occasion also saw the presence of Shri R.K. Raj, OBC Chairman, ANTCC, who appreciated the spirit of service exhibited by the Mission and its volunteers.
Towards the conclusion of the event, Shri Satya Narayan, Sector Incharge, Sant Nirankari Mandal expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, the whole medical team, all dignitaries, registered donors, and dedicated volunteers for their active support and participation. He also acknowledged the continued cooperation of government health agencies and reaffirmed the Mission’s commitment towards service to humanity.
