SVPMC Develops a Dedicated Open Market Space at Junglighat for Street Vendors

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 18: The Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC), in its continued commitment to orderly urban management and public convenience, has developed a dedicated open market space at Junglighat for street vendors who traditionally carry out vending activities in and around the area on Sundays.

All street vendors are hereby welcomed and encouraged to utilise this newly designated vending space at Junglighat as an organised open market subject to adherence to all applicable norms and rules. The space, developed with due planning, aims to provide a safe, accessible, and well-regulated environment for both vendors and the public, while also ensuring smooth traffic flow and unhindered pedestrian movement in the surrounding areas.

SVPMC has invited all concerned vendors to make full use of this facility on Sundays starting from 22nd March, 2026, and to extend their cooperation in establishing a well-managed and vibrant open market at Junglighat for the benefit of the community at large.

The general public have also been requested to avail themselves of the services and facilities at the designated market area and extend their cooperation in making this initiative successful.
