Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 24: Tagore Government College of Education (TGCE), Sri Vijaya Puram, celebrated its 46th Foundation Day today, commemorating the institution’s journey and its contribution to teacher education in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The programme was graced by the Principal of other institutes also. The celebration commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Dr. Manjulata Rao, Principal, TGCE, delivered the welcome address.
A colourful cultural programme formed an integral part of the celebration. Students presented a classical welcome dance, foundation song, various folk dances, poem and speech and documentary showcasing the journey of TGCE.
The 46th Foundation Day celebration reflected the rich legacy of TGCE and its continued commitment to excellence in teacher education and the holistic development of future educators.
