Betapur, May 12: A prompt and coordinated rescue operation carried out by the Police team of OP Betapur and PMF resulted in the successful rescue of a person who had reportedly gone missing in the creek area of Betapur.
The incident came to light after Shri Nitai Mistry, R/o Duke Nagar, informed at OP Betapur that he along with Shri Dinesh had gone for fishing in the Betapur creeks. During fishing, Dinesh suddenly lost consciousness and fell into the water. On this Shri Nitai Mistry immediately attempted to rescue him and managed to keep hold of him for some time. Thereafter, both of them attempted to swim towards the shore; however, while trying to board the dinghy, Dinesh reportedly went missing in the creek waters.
Acting swiftly on the information, a Police team from OP Betapur along with PMF personnel immediately proceeded to the spot and conducted an extensive search operation in the creek area. After sustained efforts, Dinesh was successfully located and rescued safely from the shore of the creek.
