
Sri Vijaya Puram, April 15: The Department of Tourism, A&N Administration has invited all to embark on a vibrant culinary journey as the much-anticipated Island Food Festival 2026 comes to life from April 17 to 19 at ITF Ground, Sri Vijaya Puram, from 5 pm to 9 pm.
The Island Food Festival is more than just a celebration of food- it is a tribute to the people, stories and traditions that define island communities. It aims to promote local talent, support small business and preserve culinary heritage for future generation. The stalls will be hosted by local vendors, Self Help Groups (SHGs), and various cultural associations.
Visitors will have the unique opportunity to savour authentic cuisines presented by cultural associations such as Kannada Sangh, Bhojpuri Samaj, Moplas, Ranchi Association, Nicobari Groups, etc., reflecting the true spirit of unity in diversity. The festival will also host engaging cooking competitions, including island drinks and theme-based cake decoration, adding to the festive spirit and encouraging creativity among participants.
A series of vibrant cultural programmes has been scheduled on all three days, featuring dance, music and other performances by local artists, along with awareness skits by A&N Police, ensuring both entertainment and public awareness.
