Sri Vijaya Puram, July 9: In yet another proud moment for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, two budding chess players have achieved recognition by opening their FIDE Ratings. Sreedhar G of GSSS Haddo (English Medium) and Nandini of PM Shri GSSS Bambooflat recently participated in the 21st Delhi International Open 2025, held last month and played pretty well, which led them to open FIDE Ratings.
Sreedhar debuted with FIDE standard Rating of 1485, while Nandini secured her initial FIDE Rating at 1471.
