Sri Vijaya Puram, July 6: A Veterinary Health and Infertility Camp was organized by Veterinary Dispensary, Manglutan, Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, A&N Administration in collaboration with ICAR, Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Sri Vijaya Puram at villages under Guptapara and Humfreygunj Gram Panchayat on 27th June, 2025.
The camp was organised with the objective of identifying the problems related to infertility among cattle due to which farmers face economic losses. During the health camp, 7 cows with the complaint of infertility were examined. After identifying the cause of infertility, necessary treatment and advice was provided to treat the animals. Effective management strategies are crucial to improve reproductive efficiency in Cattle.
The camp was attended by Dr. Perumal P, Senior Scientist from ICAR-CIARI, Sri Vijaya Puram, Dr. Lawhale Ninad Sahebrao, Senior Veterinary Officer and staff of Veterinary Dispensary, Manglutan.
