Sri Vijaya Puram, July 6: In its continued efforts to safeguard Government land from illegal occupation, the Revenue Department of South Andaman carried out a focused eviction operation today at Beodnabad & Tushnabd village.
In a recent operation, fresh encroachments in the form of temporary/tinned structures and unauthorized fencing over government revenue land in Beodnabad village were cleared. As a result, approximately 6000 sq. meters of government land was restored to its original status.
Additionally, during a site inspection in Tushnabad village, it was observed that a parking shed had been illegally constructed adjacent to the village road, obstructing the movement of public buses. The structure was promptly removed, leading to the restoration of 50 sq. meters of encroached land and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic.
The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, has issued a stern warning to the general public to refrain from encroaching upon government land, emphasizing that the Administration maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward such violations. He further stated that strict action will be initiated not only against encroachers but also against those found aiding or abetting such illegal activities.
