
Rangat, June 8: The Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman celebrated World Bicycle Day 2026 in coordination with PRI institutions and other line Departments of Rangat Unit yesterday. The event witnessed active participation from around 100 cyclists, including school students, youth of various clubs and organisations, sportspersons and nature lovers as well as PRI members. The cycle rally was formally flagged off by Shri Deepanshu Vohra, Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman. The programme aimed to promote cycling as an eco-friendly mode of transport and encourage youth and students to adopt regular physical activities into their daily lives and participate in various kinds of competitions. The rally commenced from Rangat Check Post at 7 AM and proceeded to Forest Range Office, Rampur and returned to the finishing point (Check Post).
