IDE Bootcamp 2026 – Day 2 Focuses on Entrepreneurial Landscape & Ideation at DBRAIT

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 7: The second day of the IDE Bootcamp 2026 at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) centred on the theme “Entrepreneurial Landscape & Ideation,” providing participants with key insights into startup development and innovation processes.

The sessions introduced participants to the startup ecosystem, with emphasis on understanding market demand, competition, emerging trends, and identifying gaps to create meaningful value propositions. An overview of key business models—B2B, B2C, and B2G—was also presented, highlighting their distinct characteristics in terms of target audience, sales cycles, and operational approaches.

Participants were guided on customer segmentation, focusing on identifying core and extended audiences, as well as distinguishing between buyers and users. The importance of aligning solutions with both user needs and buyer expectations to achieve product-market fit was emphasised.

Under continuous mentor guidance, participants progressed in their venture-building journey through practical application, idea validation, and structured development. The ideation stage of design thinking was introduced, encouraging creative thinking and exploration of multiple solutions to defined problem statements.

A key highlight of the day was the application of the SCAMPER technique, enabling participants to systematically refine and innovate their ideas through approaches such as substitution, combination, adaptation, and modification.

Overall, Day 2 strengthened participants’ understanding of market dynamics and enhanced their ability to develop innovative, user-centric, and scalable solutions, preparing them for the subsequent stages of prototyping and validation.
