Training on Financial and Tax Literacy Programme for SHGs Conducted at Panchayat Samiti C.D. Block Prothrapur

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 9: A Training on Financial and Tax Literacy Program specifically designed for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) reaffirming the commitment towards inclusive financial empowerment under the vision “Har Jan, Har Man, Vitiya Gyan se Sampann” was conducted in the Conference Hall of the Office of the Panchayat Samiti, C.D Block Prothrapur. The training session was inaugurated by Smti. Gurjeet Kaur, Block Development Officer, C.D. Block Prothrapur, in the presence of Ms. Jyoti Singh, Secretary to the Financial and Tax Literacy (FTL) Programme, and Ms. Mahima, Content Writer in presence of Block and State Officials.

The Technical Sessions were conducted by Chartered Accountants namely Shri. Kuldeep Kothari and Shri. Ankit Maheshwari, who shared practical insights and real-life examples to simplify complex financial and taxation concepts for the participants. The initiative focused on strengthening informed decision-making among SHG members, enabling them to manage household finances effectively and participate confidently in the formal financial system.

The speakers emphasized the importance of financial awareness, regular savings, responsible borrowing, tax compliance, and digital financial safety, particularly for women-led Self-Help Groups that play a crucial role in community-level economic development.

Participants actively engaged in discussions and interactive sessions, reflecting a growing interest among SHG members to strengthen their financial resilience and protect themselves from emerging financial risks.
