
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 4: The 61st Annual General Body Meeting of Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank Ltd was held on 03rd October, 2026 at its Conference Hall of the Bank. The programme was Chaired by Shri. Gouranga Dutta, Chairman, A&NStCB Ltd, Shri. Nand Kishore Singh, Vice Chairman, A&NStCB Ltd and Board of Directors of the Bank, Members of PACS (Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies Ltd), representatives of various affiliated Apex, Central and Primary Cooperative Societies, Senior officials and staff members of the Bank.
The Annual General Body Meeting commenced with the observance of a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the late Shri K. Murugan, former Managing Director of the A&N State Cooperative Bank Ltd.,
The Annual General Body was started by lighting up the traditional lamp and bouquet presented to the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Board of Directors of the Bank.
At the beginning, Shri. Abhinav Pal, Managing Director welcomed all the Delegates for the 61st Annual General Body Meeting and emphasized the bank has continues to play an important role in extending banking facilities to people residing in the urban and rural areas and geographically remote locations. The Bank remains committed to supporting farmers, fishermen, small traders etc. and given due importance for the overall development in terms of, Banking, IT etc.
He further informed that the efforts being made by the Bank towards increasing deposit mobilization and strengthening the recovery of outstanding loans, with a view to improving the Bank’s financial position and ensuring its sustainable growth. He further appraised the house that the Bank has engaged FLC Counsellors for 03 Districts, Cooperative Intern, Recovery Officer and Engagement of legal consultant and CISO and revised the loan policy and relaunches the loan facility to its customer as per applicable RBI and NABARD guidelines.
Shri Gouranga Dutta, Chairman, A&N State Cooperative Bank Ltd., in his keynote address, warmly welcomed all the delegates attending the General Body Meeting. He highlighted the challenges and difficulties faced by the Bank and acknowledged the collective efforts that had enabled the Bank to overcome those challenges and move towards growth and development. He stated that the Bank’s progress would not have been possible without the continued support, cooperation and contribution of its affiliated cooperative societies, customers and well-wishers and He further informed that all the suggestions will be considered to bring progress and prosperity to the bank.
An interactive session cum future road map was also held among the members and the Management of the Bank to decide on the various upcoming programmes of the bank.
The 61st Annual General Body Meet ended with vote of thanks proposed by Shri. Raghubir Singh, GM (Bkg.) i/c, A&N State Cooperative Bank Ltd.
