Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 26: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) will be organizing a Women’s Day Chess Tournament on 8th March 2026, in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The tournament will be held at the ANCA Chess Centre, Dairy Farm, Sri Vijaya Puram, with the aim of encouraging and promoting the participation of women in chess, while highlighting their growing presence and achievements in the sport. This year’s International Chess Federation (FIDE) Women’s Day theme highlights the visibility of women players, stronger community engagement, and the development of a global network for women in chess.
Entry is free; however, AICF registration for the year 2025-26 is mandatory. Interested women players who wish to participate in the tournament are requested to register on or before 6th March 2026 by 5.30 p.m
