CRC A&N Islands Organises Summer Camp on Models & Teaching Learning Materials Exhibition

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 17: Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC), A&N Islands organized a summer camp on Models & Teaching Learning Materials (TLMS) exhibition in collaboration with Trainee Teachers of Tagore Government College of Education to promote inclusive education and inclusive society.

Inaugurating the exhibition, Smt. Sumithamol. S, Director, CRC, expressed happiness over the overwhelming response received for the programme and highlighted the importance of innovative teaching methods in inclusive education.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from scores of parents, caregivers and Divyang children who visited the exhibition and interacted with the 42 trainee teachers, accompanied by their faculty members to understand the usefulness of the innovative models and TLMs prepared for enhancing conceptual understanding and learning among children with special needs.

During the exhibition, the trainee teachers explained the utility of the models and TLMs in academics, conceptual learning and daily living skills for Divyang children. The programme served as an interactive learning platform for students, parents and rehabilitation professionals.

Later, prizes were distributed to the winners under first, second and third categories, while all other participants were presented with gifts as a token of appreciation for their active participation and contribution towards promoting inclusive education.
