National Dengue Day Observed at Dr. RP Hospital, Mayabunder

Mayabunder, May 17: National Dengue Day observed at Dr. R.P. Hospital, Mayabunder. An awareness programme was held during which all necessary preventive measures for dengue control, sanitation practices and hygiene maintenance were elaborately explained. Emphasis was laid on elimination of mosquito breeding sources, prevention of water stagnation, household cleanliness and community participation in dengue prevention.  Healthcare workers were also sensitized regarding community-based prevention strategies, early identification of symptoms.

As part of the 100 Days Campaign under TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan 2.0, a Jan Bhagidari awareness was also conducted to promote community participation and public awareness regarding Tuberculosis prevention, early detection and treatment adherence. A comprehensive health awareness given on generation and importance of the ABHA Card. Participants were informed about the benefits of digital health records, registration procedures and the significance of ABHA ID in availing healthcare services efficiently. The awareness programme was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Christina Rossity, Medical Officer i/c, Dr.R.P.Hospital, Mayabunder.

The programme concluded with an appeal to adopt hygienic practices and prevent mosquito breeding in community awareness activities for effective prevention and control of dengue and other communicable diseases.
