Mayabunder, June 22: The three days District Planning Committee meeting of North & Middle Andaman District was held under the Chairmanship of Shri Shribas Ch. Das, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman along with Shri. Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, A&N Islands and Smti Nandini Maharaj, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and other DPC members in the Conference Hall of Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman from 17.06.2025 to 19.06.2025 to deliberate upon 07 years Strategy and draft prioritized Annual Action Plan (2025-26) in respect of North & Middle Andaman District.
The meeting was attended by Head of Departments of various plan implementing Departments viz. Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Fisheries, Transport, Civil Aviation, Science & Technology, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Tribal Welfare, Electricity, Cooperative, Shipping, PMB, Police, APWD, Labour & Employment, Information, Publicity & Tourism, Industries, Social Welfare, Revenue, District Administration & MGNREGA, National Highway, Art & Culture, Forest & Wildlife, Education, Sports, RD,PRI&ULBs. Many issues related to Programmes / Schemes in respect of draft prioritized Annual Action Plan (2025-26) of aforesaid Departments were discussed in detail and various recommendations / suggestions were submitted / proposed by the Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray and Members of DPC, N&M Andaman to incorporate in the final Plan of concerned Department for early implementation.
After consecutive three days deliberation upon 7 years Strategy and draft prioritized Annual Action Plan (2025-26) in respect of North & Middle Andaman District Plan Implementing Departments, the District Planning Committee meeting concluded with vote of thanks by Shri Ashish Joon, CEO, Zilla Parishad & Ex-officio Secretary, DPC.
