Sri Vijaya Puram, June 5: The Directorate of Shipping Services, in view of the ongoing school vacation and public demand, has announced an additional sailing between Shaheed Dweep and Rangat, over and above the two existing weekly sailings, to facilitate passenger movement during the vacation period. This service will commence on 08.06.2026 and will operate every Monday throughout June 2026.
MV Strait Island will sail for Rangat via Shaheed Dweep, Swaraj Dweep, Strait Island, Kadamtala and Long Island on 08.06.2026 (Monday) at 0700 Hrs from Sri Vijaya Puram and will sail back to Sri Vijaya Puram on 09.06.2026 (Tuesday) at 0700 Hrs from Rangat via same route.
Passenger tickets for the above sailing will be issued to the general public from 06.06.2026 (Saturday) at 0900 Hrs onwards. Tickets can be booked online through the DSS e-Ticketing Portal: https://dss.andamannicobar.gov.in/eticketing.
