Sri Vijaya Puram, June 11: The Directorate of Shipping Services conducted a Land Slide Scenario Mock Drill today at Marine Dockyard, Sri Vijaya Puram. The drill was conducted under the supervision of the Nodal Officer Disaster Management, DSS and saw active participation from employees of the Dockyard Canteen, Moulding Shop, Black Smith Shop and Marine Dispensary at Marine Dockyard.
As part of the exercise, a total of 55 employees including 01 injured person were successfully evacuated to the safe area and First aid was given to the injured person. The entire exercise was carried out in a coordinated manner, demonstrating efficient response protocols and inter-agency cooperation under the overall supervision of Deputy Director (i/c), DSS.
The Directorate remains committed to ensuring the safety of all personnel and assets by conducting such preparedness drills which aims to build a culture of readiness and resilience against disasters and other emergencies.
