Sri Vijaya Puram, July 3: Van Mahotsava 2025 with the theme ‘Plant a Tree, Secure our Future’ was celebrated at Forest Training Institute (FTI), Wimberlygunj. The Forester trainees planted 30 seedlings of Moist Deciduous forest species inside the Padauk plantation, Mannarghat. The objective for planting Moist Deciduous species is to replenish the Padauk plantation with young growth which is lacking in the existing plantation. By this way, the trainees used Van Mahotsava as a field learning activity under the supervision of Director and instructors of the Institute.
