Secures No.1 Position Fourth Time Since July, 2023 Among UTs in CCTNS Pragati Dashboard

Port Blair, July 3: In a remarkable feat, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands has once again achieved a significant milestone by securing the top position (96.67%) amongst the Union Territories in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) PRAGATI Dashboard in the month of May, 2024 for the fourth time since July, 2023. This system is administered by the National Crime Records Bureau in New Delhi. The CCTNS is a flagship project of the Ministry of Home Affairs, regularly monitored by the Honorable Prime Minister of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs through the PRAGATI Dashboard on a monthly basis.

Vinod and Dr. R Dev Das, State Secretary, BJP A&N Islands called on the Director General of Police, Shri. Devesh Chandra Shrivastava in his office and discussed various issues pertaining to public convenience like Traffic Congestion in the peak hours, Establishment of Children Traffic Park at Diglipur, Orgainising Various Sports related activities in and around Port Blair particularly to engage the youths in fruitful activities during evening hours and also to facilitate the visiting tourists.

Port Blair, July 3: The Scheme Hub for Empowerment of Women aims to facilitate inter-sectoral convergence of schemes and programs meant for women both at the Central (NHEW), State/ UT level (SHEW) and District level (DHEW) with the mandate to create an environment in which women realize their full potential. In line with this, an awareness programme on the theme ‘Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita’ was conducted under the Scheme Hub for Empowerment of Women (HEW) at the Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School which was attended by the Officers of Directorate of Social Welfare & Police Department besides Staff of ICDS Project, POSHAN Staff, HEW Staff and School students.

Mayabunder, July 3: As part of the ongoing events related to the implementation of New Criminal Laws, the North & Middle Andaman District Police have organized awareness program for officials at the Assistant Commissioner's offices in Diglipur, Mayabunder, and Rangat. These sessions provided valuable insights into the updated legal provisions, enhancing clarity about roles and responsibilities among government officials.

Port Blair, July 3: Nagarpalika Shramik Sangh (CITU) conducted a Mass Demonstration in front of the Port Blair Municipal Council at Aberdeen Bazar, Port Blair today (3.7.2024) afternoon demanding (i) Grant 1/30th of pay plus DA to all DRMs as per Division Bench of High Court order of 24th June, 2024 (ii) regularization of services of DRMs, (iii) to take back all retrenched DRMs in service of PBMC.
