Port Blair, Nov. 26: Vande Bharatam - Nritya Utsav, an all-India dance competition is an initiative taken by the Ministry of Culture as part of Republic Day Celebrations 2023 and under the aegis of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to work towards promoting the spirit of 'Jan Bhagidari', while also showcasing India's vibrancy through its dance.

Port Blair, Nov. 27: Scheme of Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids/Appliances (ADIP Scheme) is one of the major initiatives of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India to assist the needy Divyangjan in procuring durable and scientifically manufactured standard aids and appliances to promote their physical, social and psychological rehabilitation. Assistive devices are given to PwDs with the aim to improve their independent functioning, to arrest the extent of disability and occurrence of secondary disabilities.
