Port Blair, Dec. 3: The Indian Coast Guard conducts the National Maritime Search and Rescue (NMSAR) Board meeting, every year, to discuss policy issues, formulate guidelines & procedures, assess the efficacy of National Search and Rescue Plan and also recognise contributions towards SAR by merchant mariners, government owned vessels, maritime fraternity and fishermen.

Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to direct the Electricity Department to immediately address the power cut issues of Swaraj Dweep and South Andaman region, which has become an increasing source of discomfort and harassment for the Islanders.

Naresh, 25 years, S/o Shri. Appana, R/o Sisty Nagar and Shri. Dilip Kumar Ram, 26 years, S/o Late Bhutan Ram, R/o Shadipur for saving six precious lives of fishermen who were in distress after their fishing boat had capsized in rough cyclonic weather near Snake Island at around 1630 hrs on 01.12.2021.

Kamorta, Dec. 3: Usha International Ltd. is a responsible corporate citizen committed to empowering women from rural sections through skill development and supporting them on the path of financial independence and entrepreneurship. Ushal Silai School started by Usha International Ltd. in 2011 is a community based initiative with the aim of skilling rural women and empowering them to become entrepreneurs. More than 5 lakh women and girls have been taught stitching and sewing skills to help them earn a livelihood in their respective communities. More than 23,000 Usha Silai Schools are imparting training everyday across the country.
