It is brought to the notice of electricity consumer and general public that due to shortfall in power generation and increase in power demand during evening load peak hours, the department is compelled to exercise the rotational load shedding of approximately 45 minutes in and around Port Blair and South Andaman area during evening hours i.e. from 05.00 PM to 11.00 PM hours till improvement of power situation.

Port Blair, April 22: As part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'- Ayushman Bharat, the Block Health Mela was organized at Community Hall, R.K. Pur, Little Andaman Block by the District Administration through its District Health Society (SA) today. During the mela, various awareness stalls of Departments were displayed on the theme 'Health, Nutrition & Sanitation' besides facilitating health screening of general public at the Mela.

Port Blair, April 22: A vaccination camp for precaution dose (Booster Dose) of Covishield will be conducted by Syamala Clinic, Port Blair on 24th April 2022 (Sunday) from 9.00 am – 1.00 pm at the Office of Gram Panchayat, Tushnabad. The vaccine will cost Rs. 400/- per dose. Interested persons may avail the service by producing their Aadhar Card and COVID Vaccination Certificate for availing the Booster Dose.

Port Blair, April 22: As a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the District Administration through its District Health Society, South Andaman is organizing the Ayushman Bharat, Block Health Mela at Community Hall, R.K Pur under Little Andaman block on 22nd April, 2022 and at ITF Ground, Port Blair under Port Blair Block on 23rd April, 2022 from 03.00 PM to 09.00 PM, wherein, various awareness stalls of the departments of A & N Administrations will be displayed. The cultural programme on the theme Health, Nutrition & Sanitation shall be organized in the Block Health Mela. The District Health Society shall be providing the following facilitation to the general public.
