Port Blair, Sept. 9: The Department of Art & Culture, A & N Administration on the occasion of World Tourism Day-2024 is going to organize a theme based dance cultural programme and drawing/painting competition-cum-exhibition for school students on the theme ‘tourism- peace, unity and cultural harmony’.

Applications have been invited from cultural organization of A&N Islands interested to participate in the cultural programme. Selection of the dance group will be done through spot performance at Andaman Club on 16/09/2024 from 3 pm to 5 pm and the best two dance groups selected will perform on 27/09/2024 at Dr. BR Ambedkar Auditorium.

Port Blair, Sept. 9: The Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Andaman and Nicobar Islands, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department will be conducting a series of Screening and Awareness Generation Camps for Divyangjans (Persons with Disabilities) in North & Middle Andaman District.

These camps are part of its ongoing efforts to provide essential assistive devices under the Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) Scheme and to raise awareness about available support services. A dedicated team has been deployed to conduct these camps. Accordingly, the camp will be held in Mayabunder on Sept.10, 2024 at Rampur Panchayat and at GPOA Hall at Diglipur from 9 am to 3 pm on Sept.11, 2024.
