Port Blair, Nov. 4: Keeping its commitment of zero tolerance against illegal activities, the staff of PS Central Crime Station conducted raid at Restaurant Shanthi’s Kitchen, Brichgunj Chowk and arrested 04 gamblers.

On 02/11/2023 night, on receipt of credible information regarding Gambling at Shanthi’s Kitchen Restaurant, Brichgunj Chowk, a team of PS CCS reached at the spot and found four people playing cards in the restaurant. The team successfully caught all the Gamblers who tried to flee from the spot.

Port Blair, Nov. 4: 'Up-scaling Aapda Mitra Scheme' of Government of India is being implemented by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in partnership with State Governments and State Disaster Management Authorities. Under this scheme, a target has been set to train 300 community volunteers (100 from each district) of A&N Islands with the basic skills for responding to their community's immediate needs during and in the aftermath of a disaster. These trained volunteers can assist in saving lives using the basic techniques of disaster response, coordination and management.

Port Blair, Nov. 4: The State Educational Achievement Survey (SEAS), PARAKH, for Grades 3, 6 and 9 was successfully conducted in all sampled Schools of Andaman & Nicobar Islands today. About 6500 students from all Nine Educational Blocks comprising of 145 schools (All management schools) of Andaman and Nicobar Islands participated in SEAS 2023 conducted by the Ministry of Education and NCERT.
