Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 17: The Science Centre, Sri Vijaya Puram shall be organizing a sky show on 18th & 19th January 2025 between 5.45 pm to 6.30 pm. The programme to be presented include description about the Planet-Jupiter & Venus. The visitors shall be provided with a Sky map of the sky over Sri Vijaya Puram for locating planets and other celestial bodies. The visitor can have the opportunity of viewing the Planet- Venus & Jupiter & its moons popularly known as Galilean Moons called Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.

Power supply will remain suspended at part of Dollygunj, part of Pahargaon, ICMR Colony area, part of School Line and Water Treatment Plant area at Lamba Line on Jan.18, 2025 from 0700 hrs to 1300 hrs, if required, due to precautionary isolation of underground power cables while undertaking the repair work of pipe line by APWD at Dollygunj junction near DBRAIT.

In addition to this, power supply will remain suspended at Bhatu Basti complete, Laxmi Motor Area, Pathergudda, Satellite Colony & New Pahargaon on 18.01.2025 from 0600 hrs to 1000 hrs, in connection with replacement of CT at Garacharma Sub-Station.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 16: A meeting was held on 15/01/2025 at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Agriculture between Hon’ble MP, A&N Islands Shri Bishnu Pada Ray and the officials of the Directorate of Agriculture, A&N Administration and CIARI. The meeting focused on the following issues to safeguard the interests of farmers.

1) Implementation of all schemes under the agriculture sector, along with their present status and achievements, both physical and financial.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 16: Chess prodigy R Kashthuri Bhai, two times LG’s Commendation awardee and an international medal winner from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands is named the recipient of the prestigious Chennai Grandmasters Scholarship, worth Rs 1 lakh. The scholarship, funded by the HelpChess Foundation, was announced during the live streams of the Chennai Grandmasters Chess tournament. Money or lack of resources should not be the sole reason why a talented player should give up chess. It is with this idea that the HelpChess Foundation was started.
