Port Blair, Dec. 20: The training for Medical Officers for COVID19 Vaccination (COWIN) was conducted in A&N Islands on 18.12.2020. This is the first ever online training imparted to all the Medical Officers across the islands. The training was jointly organized by DHS/NHM, A&N Admn with WHO and UNDP. About 30 Medical Officers participated online at various places in these islands for one day training.

In order to showcase the good works, best practices followed by Nicobar Police: a half yearly magazine by the name of "Nicobar Police Diaries” has been conceptualized by the district police.

Three beneficiaries of the BLC component of PMAY(U) have been shortlisted for award by Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, GoI as the best aesthetically & innovatively built houses.

Port Blair, Dec. 20: As part of the “Prashasan Aapke Dwaar” initiative under the aegis of the District Administration, South Andaman, a revenue camp court was held by Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (SA) in front of Vegetable Market at Govindnagar Panchayat at Swarajdweep Island. Shri Hari Kallilkkat, IAS, SDM, Shri Lakshay Singhal, IAS (P) and other officers of the District Administration and line departments attended the camp court.

Mariyam Bibi, ex-Adhyaksha Zilla Parishad South Andaman met Shri Navlendra Kumar Singh, Director Transport recently and requested to re-start the bus service from Bambooflat to Rangat. After the pandemic, residents of Ferrargunj Tehsil are forced travel to Port Blair through ferry for covid test done and then catch the bus from Mohanpura bus terminus.
