Port Blair, June 4: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to consideration early enrolment of 1500 persons who have applied for grant of Old age, Widow, Destitute and Divyangjan pensions. The applications have been pending in the Directorate of Social Welfare, A&N Administration since many months, as these persons are facing great financial constrains to meet their essential requirements especially in times of crisis owing to COVID-19 Pandemic.

Port Blair, June 4: An over speeding bike today badly injured a cow at the Marina Road. The accident took place at around 6 pm when a bike with registration number AN01 H 9490 hit the cow after the rider lost control. The rider managed to escape with few injuries, while the cow’s condition looked critical.

Port Blair, June 4: The NGO, PANKH has been taking counselling sessions individually for people who have been quarantined in hotels in order to boost their morale in this pandemic and help them to tackle with it mentally. The NGO has also provided sanitary napkins to beneficiaries at Fisheries Colony, Haddo along with other essentials.
