Port Blair, July 25: The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has given a clarion call to strengthen the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' movement as the nation is marking ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ this year. He has urged people to hoist the Triclour or display it in their homes between 13th and 15th August 2022. The aim of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Campaign is not only to inspire people, but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building. The idea behind this initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of citizens and promote awareness about our National Flag.

Port Blair, July 25: To celebrate the glorious 75 years of Independence under “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”, the Dept. of Civil Engineering of Dr B R Ambedkar Institute of Technology conducted a Quiz Competition and Hand on Training for First Aid Techniques. The Programme included a sensitization about history of Indian Independence with the components of engineering contribution followed by a Quiz competition of the same theme.

Port Blair, July 25: Keeping in view the various complaints of road damage received from the general public, Shri, Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, District Magistrate/Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman and Shri. Dilkush Meena, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, South Andaman along with officials of NHIDCL had inspected the NH-4 from Garacharma to Sippighat on 23.07.2022 (Saturday) and the District Magistrate, South Andaman had directed the NHIDCL authorities for repair and renovation of the damaged patches of the road immediately.

Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has deeply mourned the demise of Shri. Jatindra Lall, age 75 years, Retd. Executive Engineer APWD, who expired at Delanipur, Ward no 07 today on 25.07.2022. He prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and for enough strength for the members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
