Port Blair, Oct. 20: Heavy rain (07-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on Oct. 21 & 22.  Due to formation of Low pressure area over north Andaman Sea and adjoining areas of South Andaman Sea & Southeast Bay of Bengal in the morning of 20th October, 2022 and likely intensification of the system, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea from till Oct. 23, 2022.

INTER ISLAND SECTOR:

Sindhu will sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 27.10.2022 (Thu) at 1500 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 29.10.2022 (Sat) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry. Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued to the general public from 25.10.2022 (Tue) onwards at STARS Ticketing Counter, Phoenix Bay.

LITTLE ANDAMAN:

Sindhu will sail for Little Andaman on 22.10.2022 (Sat) at 0900 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on the same day at 2100 Hrs from Little Andaman.

Sindhu will sail for Little Andaman on 25.10.2022 (Tue) at 0900 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on the same day at 2100 Hrs from Little Andaman.

Passenger tickets for the above sailing (i.e. for 25th October, 2022) will be issued to the general public on 22.10.2022 at STARS Ticketing Counters.

Port Blair, Oct. 19: In its efforts to provide better health care facility to the people in the remote part of A&N Islands, the Health Department today started the telemedicine services through ‘eSanjeevani’ application in Isles. The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS as the chief guest launched the telemedicine services at a brief function held in the conference hall of the Secretariat in the presence of Commissioner-cum Secretary (Health), Shri Nikhil Kumar, IAS, senior Officers of Administration, Doctors of Health Department and others.

Port Blair, Oct. 19: Expressing his dismay and concern on the Aerial Bay fire accident, the Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today requested the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration to send a team to Aerial Bay, Diglipur to assess the damages and release adequate compensation to the fire victims as early as possible.
