Port Blair, Sept. 7: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,97,203 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,955 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 28, 427 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 2,62,217.

Port Blair, Sept. 7: Two positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands. Both these cases were detected during the screening of incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 10 flights with1594 passengers arrived, out of which, 1471 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 82 passengers and the reports are awaited.  

Port Blair, Sept. 6: Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Secretary (Rural Development)/Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman and Shri Kishore Kshirsagar Lakshman, IAS, Secretary (APWD) along with Shri Rahul Dev Boora and Shri Vinayak Chamadia, IAS (Probationers) with officials from Revenue Department, Block, APWD and PRIs members visited several areas under Bambooflat Gram Panchayat to look into the feasibility of development of the area.

Port Blair, Sept. 6: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to reduce the duration of posting for all government servants irrespective of any department to only one year for the entire Nicobar District.

Port Blair, Sept. 6: CPI (M) has demanded immediate completion of re-construction of ATR/NH 4 and culverts along the road and also to undertake necessary repairs and maintenance wherever required.
