Port Blair, Feb 20: The Department of Fisheries in association with the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Dollygunj and with the Financial Assistance of National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Hyderabad under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) proposes to organize a three days training programme on ‘Open Sea Cage Culture’ from March 2-4, 2023.

Port Blair, Feb 20: The District Magistrate, South Andaman District has notified for the information of all concerned that the road portion from Delanipur Junction to Lighthouse Junction will be closed for all vehicular movement for 7 days w.e.f. 21.02.2023 to 27.02.2023.

Port Blair, Feb 19: Campus Bird Count 2023 is an international event coordinated by Andaman Avians Club (AAC) in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Today morning, the Chief Secretary (A&N Admin) Shri. Keshav Chandra participated in the Campus Bird Count 2023 held at the Secretariat Campus and Chief Secretary’s Residence.

The Chief Secretary along with AAC members recorded birds at the garden of his residence. A total of 16 bird species were recorded in this activity including 2 endemic species in both the campuses. Brown Shrike, a winter visitor was also reported.

Port Blair, Feb 20: The District Magistrate, South Andaman District has notified for the information of all concerned that the road traffic crossing the culvert at chainage 1000 mts from NH 04 near Nair Poultry Farm from Bimblitan will be closed for all the vehicular movements for 30 days w.e.f 21/02/2023 to 22/03/2023.
