Port Blair, June 7: An awareness programme on ill effects of drugs abuse was organized in the conference hall of Police Station, Aberdeen yesterday. Around 70 Police officials attended the programme. Dr. M.K Mahato, Medical Officer In-Charge for Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Addicts (IRCA), SA spoke about prevalence and ill effects of drug abuse and addiction. He also suggested ways and measures to stay away from drugs.

Port Blair, June 6: Almost a month has passed since the Central Board of Secondary Education has release the results of Class X and Class XII. The surprising thing is that in spite of so many days after the declaration of the results, the Directorate of Education, A&N Administration is not able to decide on the Island toppers.

It has always been a keen interest of the Islanders to know the list of Island Toppers, who have struggled their way to attain the position. Such students not only top the list but also serve as a source of inspiration to their juniors, through their story of preparation for the exams and the challenges they were able to overcome.

Port Blair, June 6: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma participated in a conference on 5th June 2023 at New Delhi, organized by Microsoft and led by Mr. Antony Cook, Microsoft's Corporation Corporate Vice President.

The conference focused on the potential of Generative Artificial intelligence and how the industry can support policymakers in promoting technology-led socio-economic development, with a particular emphasis on marginalized sections and underdeveloped regions of the country.

Port Blair, June 6: The Aberdeen Police Station cracked a significant burglary case within a remarkable timeframe of just three hours. On May 24, 2023, at 11:55 AM, a burglary was reported at Marine Hill, leading to the theft of valuable items, including gold ornaments weighing over 50 guineas, silver ornaments weighing approximately 270 grams, and cash amounting to Rs. 70,000.
