Port Blair, Nov. 1: Humane Touch in association with Forest Range Office, Garacharma organised an Alcoholism Awareness Program for the staffs of Garacharma division at the conference hall of Biological Park, Chidyatapu on 30th October 2021 at 11:00am.
Forest Ranger Smti. P. Sandhya Prasad highlighted the need of awareness on Alcoholism in the grassroots level. She also shared her experience and elaborated the ill effects of alcohol in the department and social life.

Port Blair, Nov. 1: Under the leadership of Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party the karate team from the Islands headed by Adv. Anup Chakraborty, State Convener, Sports Cell, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman & Nicobar Islands had participated in the National Karate and Multi-Disciplinary Championship recognised by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), Govt. of India. The team secured 6 medals in the championship which includes three gold.

Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi, the former only women Prime Minister of India on her 37th Death Anniversary and the Ironman of India Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on his 146th Birth anniversary across the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Both Great Leaders of the Nation are remembered for their selfless service to humanity and for their contributions towards bringing about unity, integrity and development of the Nation.

Port Blair, Nov. 1: A total of 4,95,281 doses of vaccines have been administered so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,73,439 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 3862 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.
