Port Blair, May 8: In a joint exercise by the District Child Protection Unit under the overall supervision of Shri Suneel Anchipaka, Chairman (DCPU)/Deputy Commissioner (SA) in coordination with the Child Welfare Committee and Police Station Pahargaon, a minor girl hailing from Howrah District, West Bengal was rescued.

Port Blair, May 8: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to issue necessary directions to Department of Sports as well as Department to Art and Culture to conduct summer camps for dance, music, painting and various sports so that children can make use of this summer vacation to learn new skills and pursue hobbies under expert guidance.

Port Blair, May 8: Humanity and brotherhood echoed the emotions of the fully packed hall of Wimberly Gunj Gram Panchayat on the occasion of Eidul fitr celebrations. The Eid Milan program was organised by Jamaate Islami Hind, Andaman on 6th May, 2022. The program started with the recitation of the verses of Holy Quran by Master Junaid. Shri. M K Mohammed, President, Jamaate Islami Hind, Andaman welcomed the gathering. Around 300 people from various faiths attended the program.

Port Blair, May 8: A Mehandi Competition was organized by Kala Kendra- A&N Islands Society for promotion of Art & Culture under department of Art and Culture, A& N Administration on 07/05/2022 at Andaman Club Port Blair as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The competition was organized to bring out hidden talents of the youth and apprise them about Indian Culture and traditions.
